Qiao (Georgie) Jin is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University, where she leads the Extended Horizon Lab. The group explores how Extended Reality (XR, including AR, VR and MR) and AI can be designed to support learning, collaboration, and social connection.
Previously, she was a postdoc at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, working with Prof. Vincent Aleven. She received her PhD from Grouplens Research Center at the University of Minnesota, advised by Prof. Lana Yarosh. Prior to that, she received her Master’s degree from the Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Bachelor’s degree from Shandong University.
